The left sidebar is where most of the design features exist inside InClix. We'll cover each icon and its features below.
Here's a brief description of each item:
1. Search box -- In the screenshot below we have opened the search box and as you can see, we did a search for Pizza. You have the option of selecting the size of the images delivered as well as requesting Free or paid images from our various libraries. Once the criteria is selected, type the keyword of what you're searching for in the search box and hit enter. Results will display. You can determine the size of the query by selecting the size icons under the search bar. Once a design is selected simply drag it into the canvas and format to your liking. We will discuss editing images and text in another tutorial.
2. Art Toolbox - The art toolbox is where most of the design customization icons exist. Here is a brief overview of each one.
Color - Color is for canvas backgrounds. Simply select the background desired or use the color pallet to get a more customized color. InClix color options are Hex, RGB and CMYK.
Text Box - Use the test box for adding blocks of text. The text box feature allows you to add multiple lines of text and contain it in a box that can be sized and formatted. This is perfect for brochures, menus or anything that requires text to be contained and kept in a clean efficient order.
layers - The layers option is used when using multiple layers exist and you wish to set the depth of each layer based on front to back display. Easily bring layers forward or send them to the back in order to get the desired effect. Layers are drag and drop and can be locked or deleted all through the layers pallet.
Group and UnGroup - This tool is used when you wish to lock more than one image together with another and associate them together. Once grouped, the combined images can be resized and formatted keeping them consistent. Simply start to left of the images and right mouse click to drag and surround the desired images. When the images are outlined, click Group and voila they now act as one image. Need to ungroup? Just highlight again and select ungroup and they revert back to their original layers.
Text - Text is mainly for one-line headlines and captions. Text comes with many features and includes Font styles, Bold, Underline, Drop Shadow, Color options, Underline and many other features. Create captivating headlines using the text tool.
Shapes - InClix has a shapes pallet that can be used to add various shapes to your projects. Shapes can be sized and skewed to get virtually any desired result. Shapes can also be set as object boxes allowing you to add images inside a contained box for use in templates like menus or brochures. Shapes has a robust custom menu with drop shadow, outline or stroke, opacity and even cut lines for printers that have a cut feature option.
Grid - Grid allows users to laser focus on their design by laying 3 different size grids on top of a project. This allows users to snap-to-grid and align various objects easily.
3. Art Upload - This features is used to upload images needed for a project. Simply drag and drop images directly into the upload box and the image is stored in the system and can be drug onto the canvas. Need to access the image for other projects? no worries, all images added by users can be accessed through this section. Perfect for company logos or branding images.
